SHEN L. WEI

PRESIDENT, CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY ENTREPRENEURS, UK

Shen L. Wei is an entrepreneurial-minded Cambridge University PhD student studying the mechanism of cell membrane transporters that are linked to the fundamental causes of chemotherapy resistance and cardiovascular diseases. Her passion for business and industry was confirmed by participating in the national Biotechnology Young Entrepreneur Scheme and Cambridge University Entrepreneurs (CUE) business competitions. While working on the commercialisation and marketing strategies for a university spun out company, she experienced and enjoyed a real-life consulting project. By hosting and organising international competitions, she gained insights into national and international event organisation. She assists chief executives on running the China Europe development programme.


Shen has also enjoyed tremendously working alongside talented people at CUE filled with innovative entrepreneurial spirits so she decided to take on the challenging role of President of the UK's oldest and one of most successful student-led organisations, CUE. She is passionate about building the foundation of Chinese student entrepreneur consortium, the linkage between the hi-tech community in Cambridge and Chinese investors and promoting entrepreneurship from Cambridge and beyond.
