Ruben Hamilius is studying for a Master's in Commercial Engineering at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) in Belgium, a program which included an exchange for one semester at Singapore Management University. He has a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Engineering, taking options in finance and accounting, also from KUL. He is a member of the faculty council for the Faculty of Business and Economics at KUL and he is a member of the board of directors of the alumni association, Ekonomika Alumni and of Ekonomika VZW. At his secondary school in Oostende he was president of the student council.
Ruben has had work experience at Ebbinge and Company (student recruiter), Logos (tutor of maths and accountancy), Hamilius & Partners (portfolio management and accountancy) and Schellaert NV (administration). He is a qualified judo instructor and also enjoys climbing and acting. His nationality is joint Belgian and Luxembourger and he speaks Dutch, French and English fluently and also speaks Luxembourgish and German.
