DANIEL STEVENS

PRESIDENT, STUDENTS' UNION, UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK, UK

Daniel Stevens is the President of the University of Warwick Students' Union, a charitable company employing over three hundred members of staff with an annual turnover of £7 million. He's the primary representative and figurehead for over 21,000 students and oversees organisational strategy, external relations, major campaigns and governance.

Daniel has lived in four countries, visited over thirty and speaks three languages. As a Brazilian, he became the first international student President in the history of his Students' Union. At University, he graduated with a first class in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. This included a year abroad specialising in Economics and International Business at the Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo.

During his studies, he worked part-time, served as a course representative and helped found two different student societies - the Warwick United Nations Youth and Student Association and Warwick Libertarians. The former promoted the work of the United Nations on campus and the latter debated certain areas of political and economic philosophy.
